Voice Coaching & Singing Tuition

Emma has been trained in Musical Theatre at The London College of Music (BAhons), and Music Performance at the Leeds College of Music (PGdip) specialising in Voice Studies. Emma teaches Musical Theatre (Acting Through Song), Pop, Classical, and Performance/Audition Technique. However Emma can coach any singer who wants to take the next step in their vocal training regardless of their preferred genre. Emma can tailor her lessons to suit beginners from Grade 1 all the way up to Diploma level and can coach students with song and monologue preparation for recitals and auditions.

A personal message from Emma:

"I became a singing teacher because I love to help people discover the full capacity of their unique voices. I love the moment when a student has a 'breakthrough' when they've been working on a technique really hard for weeks and suddenly, it just clicks and it's like a mic drop moment! I see myself as more of a mentor because I like to guide and support my students towards reaching their personal goals as well as equipping them with the correct techniques and theoretical knowledge. I really do embrace singing with people from all walks of life, no matter their experience or their goals. Whether you want to discover your voice for the first time, improve your confidence, learn a new skill or train to be a professional singer, I would love to hear from you!"

Emma holds an enhanced DBS and is a member of ISM (Incorporated Society of Musicians.)

Worried about how Covid 19 will affect your lessons? Not to worry, I am now offering lessons online via the app zoom, as well as in person at my home studio in Sheffield. This means that if you or your household develop any symptoms or we enter into another lockdown, we are still able to continue with lessons online.

My home studio has been fitted with a perspex screen to safely divide us, and the window is always open for ventilation (so you might want to wear lots of layers in the winter months!) I also wear a face shield and clean thoroughly between students, so you can be rest assured that my lessons are delivered in a safe and clean environment. To minimise the risk I am also only allowing 3 students maximum into my studio a day. Therefore there will sometimes be a mixture of online and offline lessons from time to time. However I will always do my best to teach in person wherever possible.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns!
